Meg + Phil's Romantic Monroe Pearson Wedding | Denton, TX Wedding Photographer

Meg is from Denton, TX and Phil is from Portsmouth, UK. They met in The Republic of Georgia, and lived in Afghanistan as well as in Kenya (where their beautiful son, Francis was born). So when I say this wedding was an international affair, I'm not kidding! People came from near and far to celebrate Meg and Phil's love and it was beautiful to witness.

The couple celebrated at the historic downtown Denton venue, the Monroe Pearson. It was the perfect backdrop for their modern, black tie nuptials. After publicly expressing their intentions and officially tying the knot, the evening kicked off with an elegant dinner and thoughtful toasts to the bride and groom. After kind sentiments were expressed and the champagne was poured and toasted, Brave Combo performed, just as they performed at Meg's parents' wedding many years ago. As you can imagine, the rest of the evening was spent dancing, twirling and doing the chicken dance!

It was the perfect celebration for the perfect couple. I'm so lucky to have been able to document it for them. Congrats, Meg and Phil!

A Very Denton Wedding | Denton and Dallas Wedding Photographer

Sunday's wedding was one for the books.  Leah and Jerry are a perfect match and I was honored to capture this milestone for them. I can't try to say this is a "sneak peek" because it is an obvious overshare. I just couldn't help myself.  <3 <3 <3

The bride started her day at her childhood home, which is only a few houses down from where I grew up. The front yard of the Burlage home is beautiful, and covered in luscious ivy that Leah's late grandfather planted and tended to for many years. I felt there was no better place to photograph detail shots, so that's what we did! Isn't the invitation from Basic Invite the coolest? And the flowers from Holly's Gardens and Floristare so happy and cheerful, perfectly matching the vibe of the day.

After spending the early afternoon at the house, we ventured to the Monroe Pearson where the rest of the day would unfold. And WOW you guys. This new Denton venue is stunning, with elegant and detailed touches around every corner (Courtney Adams Design does amazing work!!!).

The ceremony was happy and joyful, with both the bride and groom smiling from ear to ear. When the officiant declared them husband and wife, the guests broke out in uproarious applause, heartily cheering on the new union.

The reception included touching moments and toasts as well as goofy and carefree dancing under the twinkle lights. The night ended with a pretty sweet exit which consisted of waving fiber optic wands upon their departure. An epic night for an epic Denton couple who I'm happy to now call friends.

Best of luck in your newly married life. Take care of one another, love one another, and always keep smiling from ear to ear.

Nasher Sculpture Center Surprise Proposal | Denton, Dallas, DFW Wedding Photographer

I was so lucky to not only witness, but CAPTURE Lloyd asking Marlee to marry him.  He asked in the beautiful Nasher sculpture garden, then had a classic Chevy out front waiting for the two of them.  And what do you do when you have a classic car and you're in downtown Dallas?  You take pictures in front of the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA)!!  That was probably my favorite part, and I'm so glad it worked out so well.  We ended at David Park to pop some champagne and document more memories.

Congrats, Lloyed and Marlee!  I know you will have a beautiful future together.  <3 <3 <3
